Sometimes exciting sometimes drab
Sometimes sad and sometimes fab

Sometimes verbose sometimes silent
Sometimes loving sometimes violent

Every day of life is a fresh new episode
Traverses familiar, sometimes unknown road

It seems to be based on a loose script
But actors improvise it and story may drift

To please the spectator or a co-actor
You may act against your true character

Is actor himself the writer and director
Or does TRP act as the main influencing factor

Twists and turns is what makes it interesting
If it was predictable wouldn’t it be boring

Our life is also just like daily soap
With happy ending is the only hope

Day1:  सकाळी हॅाटेलमधे ब्रेकफास्ट करून निघायची वेळ झाली तेव्हा पावसाने जोर धरलेला. त्यात यान्डेक्स ची टॅक्सी मागवली ती पोचल्याचे अॅपमधे दाखवत होते पण ड्रायव्हर आणि टॅक्सीचा पत्ता नव्हता आणि तो फोनही उचलेना. आमचा प्लान अमीर तिमूर चौकात जायचा होता पण पावसामुळे आणि टॅक्सीच्या फियास्कोमुळे हॅाटेलवाल्याच्या सल्ल्यानुसार चोरसू बाजारात बसने जायचे ठरवले. बस स्टॅाप होटेलसमोरच होता. ३२ नंबरची बस पकडली आणि ताश्कंद दर्शन करत चोरसू बाजारला पोचलो. ही एक मोठी मंडई आहे. भाजीपाला, फळे, मसाले, सुकामेवा, मास मटण इत्यादी पदार्थांचे स्टॅाल मेन बाजारात होते आणि बाहेर तुळशीबागेत ज्या गोष्टी विकत मिळतात त्या गोष्टींचे स्टॅाल होते. तिथे चक्कर मारून आणि आल्यासारखे काहीतरी घ्यायचे म्हणून थोडे आक्रोड आणि जरदाळू घेऊन चोरसू मेट्रो स्टेशन गाठले. तिथून एक लाईन बदलून अमीर तिमूर चौकात पोचलो. एका मोठ्या बागेच्या मधोमध तिमूरचा पुतळा आहे. आपण ज्याला तैमूरलंग म्हणून ओळखतो तोच हा. तिथेच मागे उझबेकिस्तान हॅाटेलची बहुमजली इमारत आहे. इथे थोडा वेळ घालवून मग चालतच आम्ही इंडिपेन्डन्स स्केअरला गेलो. वाटेत दुतर्फा फूड स्टॅाल हो...

Gujarat Road Trip

Inspiration: Given that I have to take out my car once every week or at least a fortnight, just to keep it running and prevent battery from draining, it was not a very easy decision to buy a new car which would end with the same fate as the old one.   But then the old car had completed 19 years and was nearing the expiry of its first extended registration period. So either I had to extend the registration for a further 5 year period or buy a new one. Finally succumbed to the lure of the new car and bought a compact SUV. Somehow managed to have multiple trips on Pune Mumbai Expressway in the first month to around 1000 kms to justify the first free servicing. Second free service   was scheduled either on completion of 5000 kms or 6 months. It was highly unlikely that I would have completed even 2000 kms by the end of 6 months considering that the car was sitting idle in my parking as expected.
